Xbox Series X 2tb All-digital Console to Be Released in Late 2024

The Xbox Series X is presently recognized as the gaming industry’s pinnacle in terms of power and performance, a fact that leads Microsoft to believe there’s no immediate need for a console refresh.

However, the unannounced console refresh has been accidentally revealed in new FTC v. Microsoft documents this week. Microsoft is planning to refresh its Xbox Series X console in 2024 with an all-new design and features. Codenamed Brooklin.

The redesigned Xbox Series X sports a more cylindrical aesthetic compared to its predecessor and will be devoid of a disc drive.

One of the most noteworthy upgrades comes in the form of storage capacity. The forthcoming Xbox Series X will introduce a substantial boost, offering 2TB of storage. This represents a doubling of capacity from the previous model, ensuring that gamers will have ample space to house their favorite titles, downloadable content, and various forms of media.

Accompanying this cutting-edge console is the all-new Sebille controller. Designed to elevate the gaming experience, it incorporates an integrated accelerometer for gyroscopic support, adding a dynamic and responsive dimension to gameplay.

The Sebille controller sets a new standard for gaming peripherals, with a two-tone color scheme and a host of advanced features, including direct cloud connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, and an updated “Xbox Wireless 2” connection.

Microsoft has also prioritized tactile immersion with the Sebille controller. It comes equipped with “precision haptic feedback” and “VCA haptics doubling as speakers,” promising a heightened level of sensory engagement. Quieter buttons and thumbsticks, along with a rechargeable and swappable battery, further enhance the user experience.

Looking ahead to 2030, Microsoft has set ambitious goals for console customization through its Xbox Design Lab program. Although still in the funding phase, this initiative underscores Microsoft’s commitment to empowering gamers with personalized experiences.

Additionally, a new Elite controller is on the horizon, expected to incorporate the same enhancements as the primary controller refresh.

The tentative schedule sets the stage for a September 2024 launch of the Xbox Series S refresh, followed by the highly-anticipated Xbox Series X refresh in November of the same year.

In late 2024, gamers worldwide can look forward to a new era of immersive gameplay and cutting-edge technology with the release of the Xbox Series X 2TB All-Digital Console. Stay tuned for more updates as Microsoft continues to shape the future of gaming.
