The ONDA Z790 Plus-W motherboard comes with the LGA 1700/1800 socket, which has the features to easily support both Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake and 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs. Since this is a very low-level board, it has just two DDR4 DIMM slots that support 3600 Mbps memory speed. Everyone will think that this speed is nothing fancy, but the best thing is that the motherboard supports overclocking.
VRM on the ONDA Z790 Plus-W motherboard has a 10+2 phase Dr. MOS design, which has a feature of two white-coloured aluminium heatsinks and should be enough to keep it cool under a heavy load. For the power of the CPU, it provides an 8-pin plug, and for the expansion of motherboards, it has two features of PCIe 4.0 x16 slots (x16/x1) and two PCIe 4.0 x4 M slots. 2 slots, (each with the metal shielding and heatsinks). For storage, it has three SATA III ports.
Looking at the I/O features of the motherboards, they provide all the basics, including 4 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a 2.5G LAN port, and an M.2 WiFi card with WiFi 6 and BTv5 capabilities. The extra features on the ONDA Z790 Plus-W include a CMOS switch that is located on the I/O, HDMI, VGA, and DP outputs, a 3-channel audio interface, and a DEBUG LED on the motherboard.The motherboard offers great compatibility with all 12th and 13th generation Intel CPUs, but it may not overclock as well as a high-end motherboard.
It will give you a great price of RMB 899 or $120 US for the Z790 Plus-W. It’s simply a phenomenal price for a Z790 motherboard. On the other hand, AMD has no X670 motherboards whose prices are below the $200 or even $250 price range in the US. The ONDA Z790 PLUS-W or any ONDA motherboard is hard to find outside of the Asian Pacific market. This is the unlucky thing about the ONDA’s Z790 PLUS-W.
