ASRock’s Latest Arc A310 GPU is Low-Profile for SFF System

ASRock’s Latest Arc A310 GPU is Low-Profile for SFF System

ASRock, a renowned player in the world of computer hardware, has unveiled its newest addition to the GPU market – the Arc A310 Low Profile. Tailored for Small Form Factor (SFF) systems, this graphics card is set to meet the demands of compact PCs requiring modest yet efficient graphical performance.

Designed with a focus on versatility, the Arc A310 is a go-to solution for those looking to build, upgrade, or repair SFF PCs, commonly found in offices and home theater setups.

While it may not deliver high-octane gaming experiences, it ensures smooth video playback and reliable graphics for everyday computing tasks.

Under the hood, the Arc A310 houses an Intel ACM-G11 graphics processor equipped with 6 Xe cores, totaling 768 stream processors operating at 2.0 GHz. Complemented by 4 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 64-bit interface, it strikes a balance between power efficiency and performance.

One of the standout features of the card lies in its media processing capabilities. Supporting hardware encoding/decoding for popular formats like AV1, H.264, H.265, and VP9, it excels in handling multimedia content, making it an attractive choice for media-centric applications.

In terms of display options, the Arc A310 is equipped with a DisplayPort 2.0 featuring Display Stream Compression (DSC) and an HDMI 2.0b port

While multi-stream transport technology (MST) is not explicitly mentioned for the DisplayPort, users can expect seamless dual-display setups.

The cooling system, however, may be deemed as over-engineered for a product with a maximum power draw of 75W. Sporting a dual-slot dual-fan design, it ensures efficient thermal management, albeit with a potential trade-off in compatibility with ultra-compact PC cases.

Interestingly, ASRock seems to have repurposed components from its recent low-profile Arc A380 graphics card, demonstrating a cost-conscious approach without compromising performance.

While pricing details have not been disclosed on the official website, industry experts anticipate a competitive pricing strategy. Given the limited availability of low-profile graphics cards in the market, the Arc A310 is poised to be an accessible entry-level solution for SFF system enthusiasts.

ASRock’s Arc A310 Low Profile GPU offers a compelling proposition for users seeking a reliable, low-profile graphics solution for their compact PCs. Balancing performance with power efficiency, it caters to a niche yet crucial segment of the market.

With its impressive media processing capabilities and versatile connectivity options, the Arc A310 demonstrates ASRock’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions tailored to evolving computing needs.
